Final push; contest ends tomorrow. I figure a repost is in order to try and push our logo, which is really quite cool and Stephany Lai did an amazing job. So here it is:

New Picture for the Blog of rankmaniac 2012
Time for another update. Our pictures are climbing and getting near the top. Google seems to add some preference to newer pictures initially so maybe having a newer picture near the deadline can just luckily boost to the top of rankmaniac 2012. Without further delay, here's a picture from the Studio Ghibli Museum from my vacation in Japan. Say hello to the official robot of rankmaniac 2012 (adding the word official definitely boosts the rank)

LLoyd Pride for Rankmaniac 2012
Back when I was a frosh, the Santa Ana winds weren't really a problem when it came to the Christmas spirit. We persevered and put up an amazing Christmas tree for all to see. It burned brightly through the night and lit up campus as a chinning beacon for miles around....until we blew a fuse. But it did look awesome for those few times it was on. Flashback to 2009 LLoyd Christmas Tree!

Rankmaniac 2012 Update
We're doing well in the PageRank but having trouble with the images part. To this end, we've made a few changes. We're adding another cs144rankmaniac2012 blog (wordpress) in an effort to try and get more chances for our pictures to be seen since neither search engine has taken pictures from this blog. In addition, my friends Alex and Jake agreed to put up our links on their respective Tumblr and Youtube channels that are updated rather regularly so thanks guys! We've still got a week, and I think we've got the time and ideas to win this just yet.

Rankmaniac 2012 Logo
Thanks to every Lloydie's favorite graphic designer, Stephany Lai, Rankmaniac 2012 now has a logo:
We're really excited about where the new Rankmaniac 2012 logo will take us! In the process of developing this logo, our team has learned a lot about the pros and cons of hiring a freelancer to provide a necessary service. While a small, growing company like ourselves cannot yet afford to hire a designer as a full-time employee solely for the purposes of logo design, a contractor like Stephany will always bring along ideas and priorities that do not necessarily align with those of the company. For example, take a look at the first image that she produced for us:
This logo clearly does a better job of representing Stephany's identity than it does of representing the identity and mission of our group. Nevertheless, she produced a great logo for us in the end and we are very appreciative of her hard work.
If you're interested in following our group's road map and progress as we continue our quest to rank among the best maniacs of all time, see the Rankmaniac 2012 Quora Board.
